Disable a program from starting in Windows
You can disable any program that starts automatically with Windows. You can do this if that program is unnecessary or you want to speed up your computer. Disabling a program does not remove or uninstall it form Windows, it just does not start with Windows, that's all. You can start that program again when you click on the programs menu.
In order to disable a program in Windows, you need to look into the startup list for that program's entry. This can be done by using the "System configuration utility" in Microsoft windows. The system configuration can be started in xp and in vista by typing msconfig in the run box/ start menu search box. In xp by clicking on Start > run . The windows startup is reversible. You can check / uncheck any entry from windows startup any number of times. Open system configuration window. Click on the Startup tab. You will see a list all the programs that are scheduled to start with windows. Expand the middle column using your mouse pointer. That will show you the full path of the program. Locate and uncheck the boxe in front of the names of the program. Press Apply , Press Close/Ok , Select "restart" at the next prompt.
How to save the last tabs that you opened in a browser.
This might be useful for you in case you have to get away from your computer in a hurry and would like to see all the tabs and the web pages in them as you left them even after you had to turn your computer off.
This feature is implemented probably in all the browsers. We will look at the settings in Firefox and Google’s Chrome browsers.
